Frequently Asked Questions:
Q) What exactly is Tragic Solutions?
A) Tragic Solutions is a company that deals
in the clean up of highly sensitive situations. We are specialists
in the areas of both crime scene and traumatic cleanup. We
deal in situations that are beyond the scope of what is considered
“typical cleaning”. Tragic Solutions handles everything
from removing fingerprint powder after a burglary, to cleaning
a location after a suicide or unattended death. It is our
business, to restore what once was, and leave our client with
peace of mind. Tragic solutions will clean, disinfect, and
sanitize the affected area. We will remove and dispose of
any items that cannot be salvaged. Tragic Solutions will replace
flooring, patch walls, paint, whatever the task needed in
order to resume normalcy to the environment in which we are
called.
Q) How long does it take for Tragic Solutions
to respond to a call?
A) Our response time is within two hours
of receiving your call. The client is immediately notified
if for some unforeseen reason there is to be a delay. We understand
the sensitivity of such situations and the importance of a
timely response to our clients.
Q) When do you arrive?
A) Tragic Solutions will arrive after the
authorities have already been notified. Confirmation of the
incident is made directly by our company to the local authorities,
so as not to inconvenience the client any further. It is both
for your safety and for ours that this confirmation is made.
When there is a situation involving a death, Tragic Solutions
arrives after the coroner has already removed the deceased.
Tragic Solutions is the final link in the chain of events
following a crime or tragedy.
Q) What is the cost of this service?
A) The cost of this service is determined
on a case by case basis. Each case is different and unique
from each other. It is impossible to predict, in advance of
viewing the scene, what supplies and man-hours will be needed.
In most cases, this service is reimbursed via personal Homeowners
Insurance.
Q) What does Tragic Solutions do with the
contaminated items that are collected?
A) All items are disposed of in compliance
and strict adherence with EPA guidelines. All items are destroyed
at an approved EPA incinerator according to N.J.A.C. 7:26-3A.6.
Q) Are my neighbors going to see vehicles
with “Crime Scene” written on them?
A) We understand discretion. Our vehicles
are not intrusive and provide us with confidence that we will
be able to work without being a spectacle. All vehicles are
unmarked or minimally lettered, thereby assuring your privacy.
